Take Me Out to the Ballgame

We took the kids to their first baseball game today and it was soooo much fun! We bought $7 lawn tickets to the local Triple A team with the idea that Grant could just run around the grass, and the tickets were cheap enough that we could bail at any time. Well there wasn't so much free grass for Grant to run around on, and we were sitting on a hill so he kept tripping then rolling down the hill into the people in front of us. But he did great anyway. Hubs and I took turns walking around the upper lawn area with him and snacks saved the day, again. Emma spent most of the game eating cotton candy and shouting out YAY (team name here), much to the amusement of the very kind, very patient ladies in front of us (the same ones Grant crashed into several times). After the 5th inning, the redheads were looking a little pink, it was getting hot, and Emma's whine factor was increasing, so we headed home. I'm not sure how much baseball we actually caught, but was a perfect family afternoon outing anyway! And Emma declared on the way home that we should go to baseball games every Sunday. Hmmm....because of the baseball or because of the cotton candy?
