That seems to be the theme for my life right now. Slowly but surely. Slowly but surely. I can see changes and progress, but it is slow.
Swim lessons for Emma - slowly but surely she's getting braver. She's sort of dunking her head in the water, and sort of getting her face wet. She's super excited for herself everytime she does it, and she's filled with soooo much excitement to swim. Swim lessons end tomorrow, but slowly but surely I know she'll keep making progress with the water.
Talking for Grant - slowly but surely he's getting more sounds and words. It's frustrating for both of us, him because I don't know what he wants and me because I don't know what he wants. He's got a ton of signs, but if he doesn't know the sign and I don't know what he's asking, we're stuck. There's been lots of hysterical shrieking around here this week. Slowly but surely we're hearing different word approximations though, so I know it's just a matter of time.
My Arbonne business - slowly but surely my business and paycheck are growing. But life happens and plans get cancelled or changed. It's frustrating to have a goal in mind and have things out of my control affect those goals. Slowly but surely July is looking like an awesome month.
The house - slowly but surely we're making it our own. In the 5 1/2 years we've lived here we've replaced the gutters, painted the entire inside, changed most of the flooring, replaced the pool liner, built a new deck, and now painted the exterior. New fences, new tile for the master bedroom, and new landscaping are next on the list. Slowly but surely the house is becoming ours.

I hate to sound cliche but slow but sure wins the race. And the best part about taking the slow road? You get to appreciate each and every wonderful step it took to get there.
