The kids are becoming great playmates. Really, it's that Grant wants to be just like Emma, all the time. He is her sous chef when she's whipping up a meal in her play kitchen. He wants to stand on the stool next to her in the bathroom while she is brushing her teeth. When Emma is brushing her hair after a bath, Grant insists on his brush too. He knocks down block towers as quickly as she'll build them for him. He absolutely adores it when she chases him down the hallway, gingerly tickling his ribs and laughing at his giggling. Grant's smile beams as he pushes Emma all around the house on the push truck. And just this morning, when Grant was crying, Emma, using her quiet compassionate voice, offered him her precious special blanket, that until then, she never wanted him to touch. I commented on her sharing the blanket with him. Her response - "It helps me stop crying too Granty".

Oh, man... I'm glad you're getting there now. It's the best! And I think I need the blanket, because her response made me tear up.
I know, I'm loving it. And cherishing it too because I'm under no false thoughts that it will likely be different 5 years from now!!
