A few more things

1. To the old lady in any grocery store I go into - your subtle comments to Grant like"ohhh, I'm getting cold just looking at your bare feet" or "brrr...did your mom forget your shoesies" are not appreciated at all. He rips off shoes, socks, and slippers about as fast as I can get them on him. I'm doing the best I can. And I don't need to justify myself to each one of you.

2. To the person who yelled "Use the crosswalk" to me today while I was crossing the street - what you probably didn't notice was that the child in my arms weighs almost 30 lbs, was struggling to get down, screaming because he was hungry, and my arm was about to fall off. You might also not have noticed that after you drove by, there wasn't a car in sight, alleviating the risk of us getting hit. I'll also assume you didn't know that neither of my children had napped very well, thus they were lacking "listening ears". But I'm pretty sure that you noticed that the rain was pouring down, I didn't have an umbrella, and if I had walked to the crosswalk I would have added 5 minutes to our journey. Normally I would use the crosswalk, I typically am quite the law abiding citizen. But today, an exception needed to be made if I was going to return home with my sanity.

3. To the patrons of the local public library this afternoon - cool it with the self checkout. It's a library, not a food drop in an impoverished area. There is no need to step in front of someone to get your card scanned first, there is no need to give me a glare because you perceive Emma is taking too long to scan her own books, and there is NO need to jostle around me to get to the scanner first. Take a chill pill people.
