Who needs a college fund

when private schools like Harvard and Stanford are offering free tuition to middle class families? That's right free. At Stanford. I know, how scandalous is that? Cal has no such offer, I'd like to point out.

Anyway, the details I read are this. Families who make less that $100,000 get free tuition to Stanford. Families that make less than $150,000 get free tuition to Harvard. So spend your college fund money on extra curricular activities for your kidlets since less than 10% of all applicants get accepted to these two colleges and your kid is going to have to be a superstar to be that 10%.

There's some other private schools that have huge endowments that are offering similar programs, I just can't remember which ones they are.
